About us
Royal School and Orphanage was started in 1996 by Jalia Kayondo in response to the overwhelming need she witnessed around her. Compelled to "Do something" about the extreme poverty she saw every day, she stepped out in faith and took action. After taking in twenty-five orphans into her home in 1996, her ministry has grown to what it is today; a top-ranked school that provides education, food, healthcare, discipleship, and housing to over 650 children. Royal School is "a little piece of heaven", giving hope and sharing the love of Jesus Christ in Mityana Uganda.
